Gluten Free UAE

Hoping to be of help to all those living gluten free in the United Arab Emirates – نأمل أن نكون عوناً لكل من يعيش حياته خالية من الجلوتين في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة

Who we are

We aim to offer support to the newly diagnosed and those just arriving in the U.A.E. Those first few days of living gluten free can be very daunting without support. By using facebook as our main tool we are able to use feedback from many different people at any time of day or night.

We host regular coffee mornings, but if you feel you cant wait for one of those, then please get in touch via email, we should be able to put you in touch with gluten free people in your area for help and support. We aim to educate and inform. We aim to get involved with restaurants and shops and offer talks and training to buisnesses who want help in becoming more “gluten friendly”. Are you a buisness owner serving food? Do you want more buisness? Gluten Free people don’t eat alone. Contact us and we well gladly help with FREE advice! Please remember that we are not a company and everyone helping is giving of their free time to do so, this may impact what sort of help we are able to offer at any given time.

Remember that all advice given on this website is from non professionals, always seek the advice of a doctor before making any dietary changes.
While I talk as “we” on this page as if we are a group, but Gluten Free – U.A.E was infact founded by just one person, and that person was me I often say “we” because things have purposely been set up in such a way that everyone who wants to can get as much or as little involved as they please. We use facebook so that questions can be answered by anyone, we use it to advertise our cause and to get peoples attention. The more attention we get the more things can and ultimately will change!
Gluten Free – U.A.E is not a one man (woman) show, anyone wishing to get involved should contact me, there is enough work for everyone and then some!
To answer the question, we are who you want us to be, a support group, an information source, a shoulder to lean on and a restaurant directory, the more people who join us, the more things we can be, and the more people we can help.Read more about why this page was started here: http://www.expatechodubai.com/health-wellness/gluten-free-uae/

Please can you contact me as I need some advice on Gluten free certification whether it exists in the UAE or not. As I am worried about cross contamination.

No, it does not exist, but you can complain to the Ministry if you have any issues with a product not labelled correctly.

    Good Morning,

My name is Trinity and my school want to raise money and awareness for a good cause. I was wondering if I could possibly get a direct email address to possibly enquire about donating money in which we raise from an event that we are hosting at our school. I will be able to give you more information and details of this event and what we want to achieve.

    Thank you very much,

    Trinity Ingram

Hi, unfortunately as we are not a registered charity, but rather a “help organisation” run by volunteers in their spare time, we are unable to accept money (it would be illegal). Thank you so so much for considering us. I hope you find another worthwhile cause 🙂 Linda
