The owner is a lovely lady named Katinka. She is a Coeliac herself, who had it very tough until she was properly diagnosed (like so many Coeliacs out there!) Coeliac is actually the very reason she opened Taste Life bakery. As she herself puts it on their website: “It is so much more than a point of sale for gluten-free food with no worries attached. It is rather the conclusion of a life with celiac disease, and all that it means: in terms of being properly diagnosed, having the right food available, and tasting life … again. “
She is the executive chef of Taste Life and she has studied Culinary Arts at the Emirates Academy. Her bakery is entirely gluten-free, so cross-contamination is non-existent. She also focuses on natural and fresh ingredients, rather than processed and nasty chemicals ones.

I have myself ordered several times from Taste Life: I have tried their cupcakes, croissants, heart cake pops, ma’moul, passion fruit coconut cake (which was to die for!), strawberry hearts and different kinds of breads. I have loved each and every one of them! In fact, just last week I have tried their new Baguette – Gluten, Dairy & Egg Free. It’s YUM! It doesn’t crumble, it’s soft and incredibly tasty! For birthday party cakes and treats, Taste Life is the place to go to! They also supply gluten-free treats to various cafes such as: Lime Tree, Circle Cafe, Nyla as well as to several 5 star hotels.
Keep an eye on her website: she’s constantly experimenting and coming up with new recipes and new items, one tastier than the other. She herself knows how it is crave for something and not to be able to have it. She is determined to reproduce every treat out there in the gluten-free version.
