Gluten Free UAE had the fantastic opportunity to chat with Katinka Socrat co-owner of Gluten Free Supermarket to find out what’s new and developing in their business.
Katinka has one of the more distressing celiac diagnosis stories. After 20 years of general un-wellness, including stomach pain and migraines, Katinka’s back pain turned out to be caused by having a broken back! (due to low bone density). Following a rigid GF diet and discovering that the UAE has limited options available for celiacs Katinka worked on her own recipes and set about sourcing the tastiest products she could find. Years later Gluten Free Supermarket was launched to offer tried and tested GF products that met Katinka’s high standards both in quality and taste.
